As Texans become more disconnected from the land, the need for natural resource education dramatically increases. TWA Foundation provides a solution by funding TWA education programs and participating with various partnerships to ensure healthy habitats, train conservation ambassadors, and equip the leaders of tomorrow. All of these efforts aim to help Texans understand the value of natural resources.
TWA Foundation (TWAF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that serves as a funding source for conservation education and research programs directly related to TWAF’s mission. TWAF does not participate in lobbying activities and does not engage in political activities, allowing it to solely focus on its educational mission.
OUR MISSION
Texas Wildlife Association Foundation, Inc. increases natural resource literacy by promoting conservation and educational programs that connect Texans to the land.
OUR HISTORY
The Texas Wildlife Association Foundation, Inc. (TWAF) was formed in 1991 to provide ethical environmental education, research, and informational programs about wildlife and habitat conservation to Texans of all ages.
TWAF also collaborates with non-profit organizations and government agencies dedicated to wildlife education by focusing on the importance of the nearly 95% of Texas land that is managed by private landowners and its integral role in wildlife and habitat conservation efforts. To truly affect wildlife and habitat management and accurately educate our youth and adults about Texas conservation, we must emphasize wildlife and private land management.
