TWA Distance Learning earns Teachers' Choice Award

Berrien RESA has recognized the TWA Conservation Legacy Distance Learning program with a Teachers' Choice Award as one of the Best Content Providers for the2010 Teacher's Choice Award school year.

The Distance Learning program was one of three content providers to receive top votes in the "Best Gardens, Nature Preserves, and Parks" content category.

TWA Distance Learning programs, part of the L.A.N.D.S. Outreach effort, are delivered live via videoconferencing equipment in San Antonio to classrooms and other viewing sites across the state.  The programs are TEKS aligned, interactive, and include pre- and/or post materials for students.  The Distance Learning program is administered by TWA Conservation Legacy Assistant Kassi Scheffer.

Berrien RESA, the most comprehensive database of videoconference content providers, has been listing content providers' programs since 2000. The Teachers' Choice Awards program started in 2006 and runs annually in May.
