TWA and TWAF Hosts Open House & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) and Texas Wildlife Association Foundation (TWAF) officially opened the doors on their new headquarters with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony today. The morning and afternoon were spent greeting folks and giving tours of the building by staff, including the newly completed outdoor amphitheater which will serve as the backdrop of new land stewardship education opportunities. TWA staff, directors, past presidents, and building donors gathered in the evening for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of the David K. Langford center.

On May 9th, 2018 Texas Wildlife Association made its official announcement of its plans to build a permanent home in New Braunfels. At that time TWA President J. David Anderson said, “Since 1985, TWA has done so much good for all landowners, hunters, and conservationists in Texas.  Long overdue, it is now the time to have a place that we can finally call home.” In preparation of TWA and TWAF moving forward with this major project; TWAF Trustee, Steve Lewis stated, “TWA is ready for a brand new, first-class headquarters building. We have rented for 33 years. This is your opportunity to help TWA build new roots to serve us for many years to come. Please step up and be a part of the capital campaign to complete the project. This building is going to be built. ”  

Over the past 37 years, TWA and TWAF have served Texas wildlife and its habitat, while protecting property rights, hunting heritage, and the conservation efforts of those who value and steward wildlife resources. As established leaders for wildlife and wildlife managers and conservationists in Texas, we are extremely excited to take our organization to the next level by building a permanent headquarters.
