Texas Wildlife Association is committed to the conservation of natural resources on private landscapes through the continued education of private landowners. Together with partners such Plateau Land and Wildlife, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and more, we are administering a series of workshops around the state to face conservation challenges. From plant ID field days to wetland ecosystem restoration, these workshops will cover a variety of ecoregions and topics.
Our intensive workshops will teach landowners how to evaluate their property and offer insights into wildlife management options such as cost-share programs and restoration techniques. These workshops will also connect landowners with local professionals who can walk alongside them as they steward and learn their property. Join us as we paint a more complete picture of land stewardship in Texas by equipping landowners with the tools necessary to restore and enhance their properties.
Our next workshop is scheduled for April 4 in Bonham, Texas. This workshop will feature the unique Riverby Ranch demonstration site, and include a property tour highlighting various habitat types, restoration sites and test plots. The program will feature presentations from partners at Wildlife Habitat Federation, Plateau Land & Wildlife Management, and RES, a leader in environmental mitigation. On April 25, TWA will be partnering with the Rolling Plaines Quail Research Foundation, Corteva and TPWD in hosting a workshop at the Mason Mountain WMA. This program will feature a tour of this beautiful and unique property, and include presentations on herbicide applications, brush management, native plant restoration and quail in the Hill Country.
