Women of the Land – Tools of Conservation:
September 16-18, we hosted a dove hunt in Albany, Texas for 17 conservation-minded women. Participants learned about firearm safety, field dressing and cooking techniques, and dove habitat and ecology. Several had a successful harvest and everyone went home with knowledge from our expert partners, great memories, and most importantly, swag from McKenna Quinn.

Wild at Work – A Stewardship Series:
Episode 3: Grazing as a Tool for Habitat Management, presented by Steve Nelle was well attended with 75 participants!

QuailMasters: Session 4: Graduation
Our QuailMasters program wrapped up in Roby, October 9-11.  After 4 sessions of intensive quail management courses, 26 students have graduated and are now experts on everything quail.

Small Acreage, Big Opportunity: Wharton County
Our final SABO program for 2022 wrapped up on October 28th in Wharton County.  A small, but enthusiastic group joined us for a one-day workshop providing information and best practices for small acreage properties, culminating in a property tour with wetland management before the much needed storms rolled in.
