Texas Wildlife Association is committed to the conservation of natural resources on private landscapes through the continued education of private landowners. Together with partners such Plateau Land and Wildlife, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and more, we are administering a series of workshops around the state to face conservation challenges. From plant ID field days to wetland ecosystem restoration, these workshops will cover a variety of ecoregions and topics.
Our intensive workshops will teach landowners how to evaluate their property and offer insights into wildlife management options such as cost-share programs and restoration techniques. These workshops will also connect landowners with local professionals who can walk alongside them as they steward and learn their property. Join us as we paint a more complete picture of land stewardship in Texas by equipping landowners with the tools necessary to restore and enhance their properties.
UPCOMING LANDOWNER WORKSHOP
This workshop will take place at the Irma Lewis Outdoor Learning Center pavilion and will focus on the management and ecology of White-tailed Deer. Industry professionals will discuss topics such as fawn recruitment, habitat requirements, and diet. We will also learn how to control feral hogs on your property, the importance of prescribed fore as a management tool, and 1D1 wildlife tax valuations.
**Registrations that take place after Tuesday October 21st will NOT be provided lunch!
