Water is essential to sustaining Texas lands, ecosystems, and wildlife populations, as well as ranching and agricultural interests that sustain both urban and rural communities across the state. TWA provides programs and resources that advocate for a pragmatic, balanced approach to wetlands management and water use, marked by a stewardship that promotes accountable conservation of this vital resource.
How do I become a mentor?
Register for our mentor training on the public Land, Water & Wildlife Expeditions website.
How much does the mentor training cost?
The cost for the mentor training is $50. This fee covers the cost of food and supplies for the training.
How long is the mentor training?
The mentor training is two full days.
What do I need for the mentor training?
Once registered, participants will be required to complete four pre-test assignments using our training manual. Candidates will also be required to have a clean background check prior to mentoring at our expeditions.
Once I complete the training, then what?
Upon completion of the mentor training, candidates will need to assist/be mentored at an expedition event. Once approved, mentors will then be able to coordinate their own events.
