Texas Wildlife Association to Offer Free Lunchtime Webinars Starting in May

You may remember a webinar series titled “Wildlife for Lunch” hosted by Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) years ago. That series is now being revived under a new title—Wild at Work: A Stewardship Series. These quarterly webinars aim to cover topics concerning land stewardship and management for Texas wildlife, and they are scheduled at noon on Thursdays to give busy working people a chance to virtually attend. Topics planned for this year include wildlife monitoring, conservation easements, grazing as a management tool, and chronic wasting disease.

The first webinar is coming up toward the end of this month on Thursday the 26th and will cover the topic, “How Monitoring Informs Management.” The focus will be on the different types of monitoring activities that are used in wildlife management and how the data collected can be used to direct management efforts. TWA’s own Amanda Gobeli will be the speaker for this seminar, but future talks will feature speakers from a variety of partner organizations.

The webinar will last one from noon to 1 PM, including time for a live Q&A. Registration is FREE and is now live at texaswildlifeassociation.salsalabs.org/wildatworkmay2022 or you can contact Amanda Gobeli (agobeli@texas-wildlife.org or 720-333-6224) for more information. Details on future webinar dates and topics will be forthcoming.
