Meet a live Virginia opossum, the only marsupial species in the United States, and explore the unique adaptations that help it live in the wild and adapt to an urban environment.

Robert from Zoomagination introduces Lucky the Virginia opossum. The Virginia opossum is the only marsupial species in North America. When they are fully grown, opossums are about the same size as a cat, can weigh up to 10 pounds, and live about 2 or 3 years. Opossums have large ears because they have a good sense of hearing and smell, but they do not have a great sense of sight.
