Use clues to identify common structures of animal skulls and explore adaptations between predators and prey.

We can learn a lot about animals by simply examining their skulls. The skull is the bone inside an animal’s head that varies greatly depending on the type of animal. Skulls are important structures that protect the brain of the animal. When investigating an animal skull to determine the animal’s identity, there are two important areas of the skull that can assist in the investigation: the eyes and the teeth.
